Thanks to the Fellowship's Planning Committee for providing periodic updates on the UUFP Expansion progress via these Pulpit Minutes delivered during Sunday Service and UUFP publications.
Greetings from your Planning Committee!
The election is over!
We are very happy to and excited to celebrate your generosity, which put us over our goal for the special consulting fund.
We have now raised $7600! Thank you so much.
If you are just hearing about the consulting fundraiser today and still want to donate, on to the UUFP website, click on GIVING; scroll down to UUFP Expansion, OR send a check to the office and write "consulting fund" on your check, Again, thank you for your generosity. It is inspiring.
More good news is that Larry Campbell has joined our Planning team. If you have any questions about the work we are doing, don’t hesitate to reach out to any member of Planning. In addition to Larry, we are Parker Stokes, Rebecca Wheeler, Steve Kadar, Scott Kasmire and I (Sandy Burkes-Campbell).
Parker Stokes will be reaching out to a third bank this month, and he is working on applications along with our treasurer, Jeanne Farthing, which will enable us to apply for a mortgage when the time comes.
He has also arranged to put monthly, thought-provoking messages on our Warwick Blvd. sign, with permission from the Board. These messages should spark interest from people driving by. So check it out!
Earlier this month, we had our first consulting meeting with Mark Ewert to review what our committee has been doing over these past several months. Mark is working to help us "lay out and implement the steps going forward that will integrate capital campaign planning into real estate, governance and financial planning."
We will also be reviewing the committee goals shared with us last year, which will remind us of how much space both committees and staff will need when looking at new buildings.
Good stewards are committed to selfless service. Members of this committee and the board will be sitting in on the Stewardship Training with Mark Ewert, which will begin this month on the 19th. We will not become "official" Stewards, but as many people as possible need to learn about the true meaning of stewardship.
Like all of you I am happy to have this election over.
We are still facing a pandemic but that will not stop our work to make our vision a reality.
I am so grateful for all of you… and look forward to the day when we will all be together again....
