Presented by Mike Roy - June 11, 2017
For the last year, Mike Roy has been living in Sadhana Forest, an ecological restoration project located in the experimental international township of Auroville in Tamil Nadu, South India. Situated on 70 acres of barren, severely eroded land, Sadhana Forest aims to restore the nearly-extinct indigenous forest through planting trees and living low-impact. Each year more than one thousand volunteers from over fifty countries come to participate in the restoration work and to experience living (for a two-week minimum!) a life of service, consciousness, and compassion.
Topics covered in Mike's presentation will include tree-planting and water conservation, veganism, compost toilets, alternative architecture, living in community, and more.
