“Growing Forests in Rural Kenya”

Presented by Mike Roy
December 16, 2018

In the past, Mike Roy has shared about his experiences and work with Sadhana Forest, a reforestation and low-impact living project started in south India in 2003. This time, he will offer stories, photos, and video from his time at Sadhana Forest Kenya, the project's third branch, opened in 2014. Sadhana Forest Kenya is located in the remote, arid Samburu region, and focuses on bringing food security to local populations through distribution of food-producing trees and workshops on small-scale permaculture practices. The presentation will explain the goals and practices of the project along with some information about the Samburu way of life.
