“Being Asian in America”

Presented by Reverend Jennifer Ryu - May 28, 2017

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the LA riots which shined a light not only on police brutality but also on racism within the Korean-American community. "For me, it was the beginning of my awakening as an Asian American woman," declares Reverend Jennifer.
Jennifer will intertwine her personal story with this country's immigration policies, the history of the Asian American movement, and the persistent stereotypes that are often overlooked in discussions of racial justice.
