May 1st: “All These and Much More”

This ‘M’ is: deepening our relationships with one another; continuing a tradition of hope and liberation; opening ourselves to joy and pain, loss and success; celebrating every part of life with wonder; struggling for humanity in the face of dehumanization.  What ‘M’ is all these and much more?  What ‘M’ is mine and yours?

May 8th: “Coming Home to the UUFP”

With more of us gathering in person again, let’s create a new “homecoming” tradition for the Fellowship!   Many people over the years had Child Dedications or celebrated Coming of Age or Bridging here, so let’s welcome them home and talk about why ministry to families is such an important part of our congregation’s Vision.

If you have family — especially former UUFP youth — in town this Mother’s Day weekend, please invite them to come to this service with you!

May 15th: “In Service of Poetry”

As Palestinian poet and author Mahmoud Darwish wrote, “Poetry and beauty are always making peace.  When you read something beautiful, you find coexistence; it breaks walls down.”  Please join us for a service about poetry, as we celebrate our theme for May, “Nurturing Beauty”.  Hear some wonderful poems, some of them written by the poets of the UUFP, explore your relationship with the art of poetry, and try writing some poems of your own.

This service is brought to you by the members of the Sunday Services Committee.  If you are a poet and would like to submit your work, please contact Dan or Pam Luke at: sundayservices@uufp.org

May 22nd: “We Have the Power!”

Welcome to our first annual “Covenant Sunday”!  As part of our Year of Living Covenantally, and on this Sunday of our Annual Membership Meeting, we’ll celebrate Unitarian Universalism as a covenantal faith and unlock the power of covenant to build the Beloved Community within and beyond our walls!

May 29th: “Seek Not Afar”

Our sense of beauty helps us “grow in wonder”, especially given the closeness of aesthetics and spirituality.  We can inspired by so many beautiful experiences, from a child’s laughter to a flower’s perfume, from a starlit sky to a well-crafted poem.  Let’s talk about how we nurture beauty in our lives and in our shared life together.
