March 26, 2017: How Sweet It Is!

Once again, Sunday Morning Forum offered a diverse educational menu. This week, class participants received a real treat—via both palate and play (theatrical presentation, that is).

Our thanks to our faithful Adult Religious Education Chair and this week's Facilitator Kathryn Ozyurt for presenting: "REVISITING GOD’S DOG: ANOTHER CONVERSATION WITH COYOTE.” Aided by fellow thespians delivering a modified script from Reverend Dr. Webster Kitchell's "Get a God—More Conversations with Coyote," Coyote quizzically probes regarding the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism.

Using the Coyote character inspired by American Indian theology, Kitchell's books provide dialogues relating to concepts of faith, philosophy, existentialism and life’s truths as seen through a Unitarian Universalist spectrum. "For Coyote and me, faith means that we have to live our lives as if the cosmos, the planet, life, our fellow creatures, and ourselves are sacred," says Kitchell.

Follow the cookie trail to the UUFP Annex Building—Sundays, 11:15 – 12:15. We guarantee that this sweet treat will not add any pounds to your scale!
