“Growing Beloved Community” Workshop—5/25/24

Phoenix Bell Shelton Biggs

The UUFP is a dynamic, active congregation with great energy and enthusiasm, and we are looking to continue our growth as we move to a new building. One step in that growth is making people feel welcome, including those of different ages and backgrounds.

We are pleased to welcome Phoenix Bell-Shelton Biggs, M. Div., to give a workshop discussing best practices for congregational growth in UU congregations such as ours. Phoenix (they/them) has just graduated from Meadville-Lombard Divinity School, and has been serving as a ministerial intern at the UU Fellowship of Fredericksburg. They will also be our guest minister for Sunday Service on May 26.

Who should come: Everyone who wants to help our congregation grow and thrive! Greeters, ushers, leaders, followers, snack bringers, snack eaters, brand new people interested in learning more about how we can practice radical inclusivity.

When: Saturday, May 25, 9:00 – 12:00 (refreshments before and luncheon after)

Where: UUFP Sanctuary, 415 Youngs Mill Lane, Newport News, VA
