Give a Helping of Hope through the Holidays and Beyond!

Please Support the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank!

The UUFP Policy Board voted to contribute all (non-designated) monies from the Christmas Eve evening collection to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. What a gift to be able to gift!

Feeding the hungry, together with our Foodbank partner, remains among the many important ministry programs for the Fellowship this year, and especially so, while the community and the world are still striving to recover from the effects of the pandemic. We hope you will join us; it’s a wonderful way to celebrate together and help end hunger in our community.

Even if you will not be attending that holiday evening service, please consider a gift to the Foodbank this week. As the weather gets colder, the needs escalate; pantry shelves become empty, and each monetary and tangible food contribution helps our neighbors who are facing great adversity. Non-perishable food donations may be deposited in the drop-off boxes in the church sanctuary building. And the added ripple effect of your generosity is that each monetary donation for the Foodbank this week (and through July 1, 2024) will be doubled via the UUFP Endowment Fund matching grant up to $5000!
