Fundraising Programs & Events

UUFP-owned “shopping” fundraisers (e.g., yard sale and auction) are complemented by a few merchant fundraising programs.  These relationships allow members and friends to shop for items and services at no additional cost, which in turn benefits the UUFP.

Give-a-Book – Get-a-Buck

For UUFP, that is!  Donate your new or gently used books to the UUFP, and we will advertise them for sale on Amazon.  The Fellowship then receives approximately 85% of the total sales price.  What a low-cost, high-return means of raising funds for the mission work of the church, while simultaneously being environmentally conscious by recycling. Plus, using the UUFP-specific "Shop Amazon Support UUFP" button (above) for your book and other online purchases helps increase the benefit. (Let's exercise our 7th Principle, and fill up that Book Donation Box located in the Sanctuary Common Area.)

Annual Yard Sale

Every year, we conduct a yard sale to raise funds to equip the church and further its mission. Donated goods of all type are received in the UUFP Office Building during the week preceding the Saturday sale. Dedicated volunteers price, categorize and ready these items for the one-stop-shopping spree. Help us “Repurpose goods for Good!” For more information, email

Goods and Service Auction

Generous donations for our auctions are certain to tempt any bidder.  A vacation home or bed and breakfast getaway; tour of Hampton Roads waterways; gourmet dinners; sporting events; varied art; and personal and home goods and services are among the choice items.  And who wouldn’t covet that reserved, prime parking space for an entire year?!  Add to all that, a delectable dinner, fellowship with friends, and auctioneers extraordinaire, and this festivity is sure to please!  Whether you donate, dine or dedicate your volunteer services to ready for the event, your support is greatly appreciated!  Contact:
