2023-09-21 10:30 2023-09-21 12:00 America/New_York Sunday Service: “Committing Ourselves to Climate Justice and Beloved Community”

Presented by Rev. Andrew Millard   Through a partnership between Interfaith Power & Light and the Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions, ministers, rabbis, imams and other clergy are raising up voting as a sacred act of Beloved Community. “Each of us has a moral responsibility,” Dr. King preached in 1964. “I come here to urge every person, under the sound of my voice, to go to the polls on the third of November and vote your convictions.” In this service, we’ll lift up the importance of voting, for Dr. King’s vision of a Beloved Community and for leaders who will fight for climate justice. This Sunday is the feast day of Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and the natural world, so let’s celebrate our furry, feathery and scaly companions with a “Blessing of the Animals” in our lives. (Since we’re Zooming from home, we already have our pets with us for the service!) What: We are holding Sunday services via Zoom! You can begin connecting at 10:30 a.m. to check your computer set-up and for introductions, and the service itself will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. When: Every Sunday, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Where/To Connect: https://uuma.zoom.us/j/920676087 Meeting ID: 920 676 087 One tap mobile: +1646-876-9923 Wish to see, read or listen to the sermons?
