Speaking Rev. Byron Tyler Coles “At the Beginning of the World” Whether they come as a surprise or not, endings are always challenging.  They bring with them feelings of sorrow, anger and fear.  But wisdom reminds us that with an ending comes a new beginning.  The world as we once knew it has perished and a new one is forming.  So, who will we be in this new world?  What stuff will we create with?  And how will we minister in this new world becoming? The Rev. Byron Tyler Coles (they/he) is native of Roanoke VA and the only child of Monica and Terry.  Inspired by the good news of Unitarian Universalism, Tyler believes that the best of our collective ministry strives towards conjuring the Beloved Kin-dom on Earth as it is in heaven.  They engage this mandate personally through multi-racial organizing, supporting young adults, and movement chaplaincy.  Tyler currently serves on the UUA’s Congregational Life Staff Team in the Southern Region where they support faithful leadership across the American South, the Caribbean and Northern Mexico.
