March 29, 2023 From 11:00 am to 12:00 pm See Event Description for meeting logistics.
2023-03-29 11:00 2023-03-29 12:00 America/New_York Sunday Service: “Imbolc Service” “Imbolc Service” Presented by EarthRising Join EarthRising for an experiential, mythopoetic Sunday Service centered on the Celtic celebration of Imbolc, which means “in the belly” in Gaelic, referring to pregnancy and “quickening”, the first delicate movement felt by the mother. Traditionally, Imbolc occurs on February 1st, half way between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. It is a time for us to search for what is quickening within us by “finding our center”. The UUFP’s EarthRising is the oldest continually meeting Earth-centered group in Virginia. Founded in 1987, it was also one of the first UU Pagan groups in the country. EarthRising celebrates the traditional Neopagan Sabbats with ideas and inspiration from Pagan, Pantheist, Indigenous, Animist and other Earth-centered Spiritualities. What: We are pleased to offer multi-platform services, both in-person and on Zoom. Children’s RE and the Forum take place at 9:30am so that families can attend the service together. Nursery care will be available throughout. For Zoom, you can begin connecting at 10:45 a.m. to check your computer set-up and for introductions, and the service itself will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. When: Every Sunday, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Where: 415 Youngs Mill Lane, Newport News, VA 23602 Zoom: https://uuma.zoom.us/j/920676087 Meeting ID: 920 676 087 One tap mobile: +1646-876-9923 Wish to see, read or listen to the sermons?
