Presented by Andrew Batcher Andrew Batcher is the Social Justice Coordinator at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax. As part of their racial justice efforts, their congregation has been working on inclusive education in Virginia—education which supports and represents the diversity of students. They’ve gone to school board meetings locally, offering a counter presence to racist efforts to “ban critical race theory (CRT),” which is not taught in K-12 schools. They also organized this Teaching Truth Teach-in on January 15, which is Martin Luther King’s birthday and the same day Glenn Youngkin signed an executive order to ban “CRT” in Virginia Schools.
