EarthRising Samhain Ritual
From 7:00 pm to 9:00 pmOur originally planned in-person gathering for EarthRising “Samhain” Ritual has been reversed due to inclement weather. This event will take place on Zoom. (See below.) PLEASE CONTACT EARTHRISING@UUFP.ORG FOR INFO ON PARTICIPATING IN OUR ONLINE RITUALS OR THEIR PLANNING. For those of us who cannot join the virtual gathering, we can still appreciate the beauty and meaning of the Ritual during this time of social distancing! “Samhain is a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the “darker half” of the year. It is the dark twin of Beltane, the heart of autumn, and a time when the veil between this world and other worlds is thinly stretched. We gather to honor our ancestors, give thanks for the Final harvest, and renew the magic of Spirit in ourselves. THE CUSTOMARY SCHEDULE ONCE UUFP ONSITE EVENTS RESUME. Planning for this Ritual will be on Friday, October 15, at 7:00 p.m., in the Sanctuary building. All of good will are welcome at this open planning session. We often state that the “Real Magic” takes place at our Planning sessions, as insights and ideas spark, kindle, and grow into inspiration and creation. The Samhain Ritual will be celebrated on Friday, October 29, also at 7:00 p.m., in the Fellowship building. A pot luck feast and social time will follow the Ritual. EarthRising strives to be inclusive, fun and safe for all ages and abilities, respectful of the Earth and all her creations, and to provide meaningful opportunities to experience the mysteries of the Universe. Childcare can be provided with advance notice. Blessed be!
ONSITE EVENTS VARY DUE TO COVID. CONTACT EARTHRISING@UUFP.ORG TO ATTEND THE RITUAL OR PARTICIPATE IN ITS PLANNING.
